Historically, the hamlet of Rouveyre is a stronghold. During the Middle Ages the surrounding woods and grounds belonged to the Cistercienzer Abbey of Aiguebelle. Centuries later it proved to be a firm bastion of protestants : during the religious persecutions heretics were hidden here. Feel at home at Rouveyre in our holiday cottage or in one of the comfortable guestrooms, each with their independent entrance. You will find peace and tranquillity in these stone houses, renovated with an eye for tradition and comfort. In the countryside, for a short or a longer stay, with friends or family, accommodating gastronomy, cultural and sportive outings.Savour regional specialities in the charming and typical restaurants. A large supermarket, banks and all shopping facilities are at 7 km. You can also stock up at the local farms. Note the access to the A7 motorway is only a15 minutes' drive.

Rouveyre : Holiday cottage in the country in drome provencale south of France

This stone farmhouse, equipped for 6 people, is situated in the very heart of this small hamlet, a cool shelter when the sun is at its highest. This self-catering cottage has all necessary comfort without spoiling the charm of yesteryear.

You will find on the vaulted ground floor a dining room with a large fireplace (with wood-burner) and a large dining table, a sitting room with TV/DVD, a bedroom with a kingsize bed, and a fully equipped kitchen (micro-wave, toaster, hob cooker with oven,.)

On the first floor you will find a bathroom with bath/shower and basin, washing machineand separate toilet ; a bedroom sleeping 4 people with a bunkbed and cot; a double bedroom.

A corridor leads to the partially covered roofterrace equipped with garden furniture and with a stunning view over the surrounding landscape.

A small rock garden behind the cottage and the cherry orchard are at the disposal of our guests. Ample parking in the grounds. This is a non-smoking holiday let.
